Wissenschaftsbarometer 2021: Confidence in science and research remains high

Categories: GESIS-News

Germans' confidence in science and research remains high. In the Wissenschaftsbarometer (Science Barometer) 2021, 61 percent of respondents say they have either full or partial confidence in science and research. 32 percent of respondents are currently undecided. This is the result of population-representative data from the Wissenschaftsbarometer, with which the non-profit organization Wissenschaft im Dialog (WiD) surveys public opinion on science and research in Germany. The project's sponsors and supporters are the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.
Dr. Jette Schröder of GESIS was also involved in the project through her advice on questionnaire development.
