With the publication of the demographic dataset, the GESIS Panel has taken an important step towards improving the usability of the data.
The demographic dataset enables secondary researchers to quickly, conveniently and transparently attach current socio-demographic characteristics to the survey data and take them into account in their analyses.
The demographic dataset will be part of the data delivery in the future. In addition, a brief instruction on the use of the demographic dataset has been integrated into the GESIS Panel Data Manual.
