Guest Researchers
The GML offers researchers the opportunity, to analyse selected data from official statistics at GESIS in Mannheim as well as via remote data processing (remote desktop):
- Microcensus GESIS-Files (1962-1969)
- Microcensus Supplementary Survey "Occupational and Social Shifts of the Population" (1971)
- Population and Occupation Census (1970)
- Microdata of official statistics of the GDR
Addressees
The service mainly addresses researchers within Germany and abroad who are interested in "GML"-datafiles which are not available as Scientific Use Files.
Preconditions
Preconditions to visit GESIS-Mannheim as a guest researcher:
- exercising scientific work at an independent research institute
- every guest researcher is sworn to secrecy by GESIS-Mannheim
- if necessary, signing a "Special Obligation" for data protection according to §16(7) BStatG
