Data Protection

All institutes involved in conducting PIAAC in Germany operate according to applicable data protection regulations, in particular, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). All personal data are, of course, treated as strictly confidential. Your name and address will be stored separately from the survey data, they will not be transmitted to third parties, and they will be erased after the survey. From the results of the survey, it will not be possible to identify the persons who provided the data. Therefore, it will not be possible to draw any conclusions about your identity.

Detailed information on data protection can be found in our data protection flyer, which is available in German (146 kB) and in six foreign-language versions: Arabic (336 kB), English (195 kB), Polish (246 kB), Romanian (256 kB), Russian (210 kB), and Turkish (274 kB).
