Das Kompetenzzentrum Datenqualität in den Sozialwissenschaften (KODAQS), eine Partnerschaft zwischen GESIS, der Universität Mannheim und der LMU München, bietet bedarfsorientierte Unterstützung zur Bewertung und Analyse der Qualität sozialwissenschaftlicher Daten. Es fördert das Verständnis für Datenqualität und bietet Schulungen sowie Tools wie die Data Quality Academy und die Data Quality Toolbox an.
 | Offizieller Start der KODAQS-Toolbox im Juli 2025Die KODAQS Toolbox ist eine neue, offene Plattform zur Bewertung und Verbesserung der Datenqualität in den Sozialwissenschaften. Sie unterstützt Forscherinnen und Forscher dabei, die Qualität ihrer Daten systematisch zu reflektieren – entlang dreier zentraler Datentypen: Erhebungsdaten, digitale Verhaltensdaten (z. B. App- oder Sensordaten) und verknüpfte Datenquellen (z. B. Register- und Geodaten). Die Toolbox bietet praktische Checklisten, Fallstudien, Methodenübersichten und vertiefende Ressourcen für die eigenständige Anwendung und Weiterentwicklung guter Datenpraxis. Wir feiern den Start der Toolbox im Juli 2025 mit einem interaktiven Datenqualitätswettbewerb auf der ESRA-Konferenz in Utrecht (European Survey Research Association). In CEWS' anniversary year 2025, the latest CEWS ranking of higher education institutions by gender equality aspects shows that Berlin remains at the top, while Bremen has entered the top group in the state comparison for the first time. New for 2025: Thanks to a revised methodology, all universities now have the opportunity – and the incentive – to enter the top group.

Somit stehen ab sofort auch die Daten aus den Erhebungen W3A und W3B (inklusive der Daten aus den Befragungen der Partnerinnen und Partner) Forschenden zur Verfügung und können über GESIS angefordert werden. FReDA publishes third waveThe time has come: From 2 June 2025, the data from the first, second and third waves of FReDA will be available to the scientific community. The dataset contains the recruitment wave W1R as well as the sub-waves W1A, W1B, W2A, W2B, W3A and W3B. In addition, FReDA offers you the data from the surveys of the partners or ex-partners of the anchors (W1A partners, W2A partners, W2B partners, W3A partners and W3B partners). The data are available to researchers for scientific and non-commercial purposes and are distributed by GESIS. Access is free of charge. The survey focusses on questions about family and partnership. |

A sample of 4,143 German adults completed questionnaires about their attitudes toward public breastfeeding, including general approval, acceptance of breastfeeding in different settings, and evaluative reactions to mothers breastfeeding in public. |
