The research project "Digital Dehumanization: Measurement, Exposure and Prevalence" started on January 1, 2021 under the leadership of GESIS scientist Prof. Claudia Wagner. The project is dedicated to the phenomenon of dehumanization, i.e. the extreme devaluation of certain social groups on digital platforms. The aim is to develop new methods for recording the problem, on the basis of which a more precise picture can be drawn of those affected, creators, and channels used. The results should make an important contribution to the debate on the regulation of social media.
