Research

David's research at GESIS is two-fold. For one, he focuses on biases in in self-reports (e.g., acquiescence, inverted items, and social desirability) and more generally fundamental theory of personality assessment (i.e., "Can respondents even accurately represent their persoality?"). Further, David researches cognition-related personality constructs and social-emotional competencies (e.g., intellectual and epistemic curiosity, NfC, TIE, growth mindset, etc.).
