Vita

I am an industrial engineer and a computational social science (CSS) researcher with a Ph.D. in Software and Information Systems from the College of Computing and Informatics at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte) in 2019. My research interests include analyzing data from various social media platforms (e.g., Twitter and Facebook) and online comments/discussions forums (e.g., Disqus), understanding the structure of social networks, and building models with system dynamics and agent-based modeling approaches to study the relationship between interconnected variables and possible policies.

Before joining the CSS Department at GESIS, I worked as a researcher in several institutions, namely the Data Science Initiative and Complex Systems Institute at UNC Charlotte (2015-2019), Santa Fe Institute in New Mexico (2019-2020), and Communication Science and Media Studies at the NOVA University in Lisbon, Portugal (2020-2021).  At GESIS, I am a postdoctoral researcher and currently working on the KODAQS project about data quality.
