Vita

Hello, my name is Jessica Daikeler. I work at GESIS in the Survey Design and Methodology (SDM) department as a PostDoc. I coordinate our BMBF/EU-funded third-party funded project KODAQS. Previously, I was part of the special research group on digital behavioral data and coordinated the working group on the quality of digital behavioral data (and survey data). Digital behavioral data generally refers to data types such as tweets, GPS data or text data.

I graduated and did my PhD at the University of Mannheim. During my PhD, I was at the University of Michigan in An Arbor on a research stay. In my master thesis with Prof. Frauke Kreuter I worked on "Motivated Underreporting and Response Propensities". I wrote my dissertation on "The Application of Evidence-Based Methods in Survey Methodology" with Prof. Michael Bosnjak (RKI) and Prof. Florian Keusch (University of Mannheim).

At GESIS, I have already worked or am working in the Survey Operations and Statistics teams. So far, I have worked on the application of evidence-based methods in the Social Sciences, such as experiments, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, supervised the GESIS Survey Guidelines and developed the GESIS Survey Methods Evidence Map. In our team, I supervise our student assistants.
