Vita

Simon Börlin (né Henke) studied Sociology at the University of Mannheim and the University of Heidelberg. During his studies he was employed as a student assistant at the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES) where he worked in two international data collection projects (JuMi & CILS4EU). He also worked at the Chair of Sociology, Societal Comparisons (Prof. Dr. Irena Kogan) at the University of Mannheim.
After completing his master’s degree he worked as a research associate at the MZES in the project Preschool Education and Educational Careers among Migrant Children and as a teaching assistant at the Chair of General Sociology (Prof. Dr. Frank Kalter) at the University of Mannheim.
At the GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Science Simon Börlin has worked in the project ILLICID – Illicit Traffic in Cultural Goods in Germany. From November 2016 to April 2020 he was responsible for the service on the Microcensus Scientific Use File at the German Microdata Lab (GML) .
Since February 2020 Simon Börlin works in the BMBF-funded project „FReDA – The family demographic panel“.
