This data file contains data of the ISSP 2018 ‘Religion IV’ module collected in fourteen Asian and African non-ISSP-member countries: Algeria, Cambodia, Ghana, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Nigeria, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
As conducted in the context of the previous ISSP Religion (III) module in 2008, the aim of this project was to include countries with religious traditions underrepresented by the ISSP membership. Therefore, additional countries were commissioned to field the study. The project was funded by the Templeton Religion Trust and chaired by NORC (https://www.norc.org).
The data generally complies with ISSP standards, however, was not monitored by the ISSP Method Committee. They can be matched to the international data file with the syntax job provided below (as soon as the final dataset for 2018 has been published).
