ISSP 2017 - "Social Networks and Social Resources", http://dx.doi.org/10.4232/1.13322

The International Social Survey Programme (ISSP) has conducted a survey which sheds lights on respondents’ attitudes, opinions and behavior on a wide range of issues covered by the umbrella term ‘Social Networks and Social Resources’ in 30 countries across six continents. The data offer great opportunities for monitoring social change and deepen the understanding of contemporary societies by looking at social networks in conjunction with aspects, such as perceived social integration, reciprocity, health and well-being, trust, perception and justification of social inequality or participation and empowerment.  Some of the data not only enable cross- national, but also time comparisons, since in 1986 and 2001 the ISSP conducted modules, which share the basic idea of measuring social networks and exhibit some variable overlap with the current data.

For more information on the ISSP module see the GESIS module web-page: https://www.gesis.org/issp/modules/issp-modules-by-topic/social-networks/2017
