During Love Data Week, we celebrate the data that makes our research possible.
Every February, universities, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and other institutions hold interesting events and activities to draw public attention to the topics of "research data" and "research data management."

And as every year, GESIS will also be participating in Love Data Week in 2026!

Where is the data? The international Love Data Week 2026

The theme of this year's Love Data Week is "Where is the data?" – an opportunity to encourage people to think about the path data takes from collection to storage.

The subject opens up exciting opportunities for interactive programs, whether it's organizing games on the topic of data, building data literacy, or exploring the ethics of responsible data use. The goal of this year's Love Data Week is to provide everyone—from data novices to data professionals—with the information and resources they need to make progress in the areas that matter to them. Discover the exciting world of data!

Research data management: The basis for finding research data!

What makes data findable in search engines and repositories?

The answer is: good research data management, well-documented data, and the use of metadata.
