10th Conference "Researching with the Microcensus"

Online, 24. - 25. November 2022

 

The 10th conference "Researching with the Microcensus" offers a platform for the discussion of content-related and methodological contributions from all fields of work in the social sciences and related disciplines. In addition, the conference serves as an exchange of experience between data users and representatives of official statistics. It is aimed both at researchers who are already working with the microcensus and at those who are planning to do so.

Time and Location The conference will be held virtually on 24 - 25 November 2022. The Conference Language is German.
Participation Participation is free of charge. Scientists are welcome to participate in the conference even if they have not submitted an abstract. Please register via our registration form by 31 October at the latest.
Keynote We are pleased to welcome Dr. Bastian Betthäuser (Assistant Professor of Sociology at Sciences Po) for a presentation on the joint research project with Prof. Dr. Anette Fasang and Nhat An Trinh. He will present results from the project "The temporal dimension of parental employment. Fixed-term contracts, non-standard work schedules, and children's education in Germany".

Organisation The conference is jointly organised by the German Microdata Lab (GML) of GESIS, Department F36 "Microcensus - Evaluation and Analysis" of the Federal Statistical Office and the research data centres of the statistical offices of the federation and the federal states.
