Methodische Grundlagen, Qualitätssicherung, Datenerhebung und -bereitstellung

Abstract

“FReDA – The family demographic panel” is conducted in close cooperation of the Federal Institute for Population Research (BiB) and GESIS Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences. This infrastructure includes the German part of the Gender & Generations Programme (GGP) and continues to survey respondents of the pairfam project. Half-annual re-interviews of persons aged 18 to 49 years and their partners are at the center of FReDA. This is aimed to enable data users to answer a multitude of research questions in the areas of demographic, family sociology, and family psychology.

GESIS is responsible for developing and advancing the survey design, data quality control, fieldwork operations, data preparation, documentation, and data archiving.
