Fostering Proactive Replicability in Computational Communication Science via Frontloading Effort and Automating Protocols (AutoFrontCCS)

This project will

develop, implement, and evaluate innovative solutions for improving the

replicability (and reproducibility) of research in the field of Computational

Communication Science (CCS). The

project leverages replication/reproduction protocols to foster "proactive

replicability," encouraging and assisting authors in improving their

work's replicability during submission. The project develops protocols and

online tools using data mining and language models to extract information from

manuscripts and offer suggestions for improvement. These tools will be

evaluated through experimental studies and the results will be compiled into

guidelines for journals and editors in CCS and other fields.
