GESIS is pleased to receive applications for research visits at both of its locations,  Mannheim and Cologne. Individual researchers who would like to conduct research and work with us may apply for funding at GESIS. The research stay can be planned for any period between five working days and six weeks. 

Successful applicants will receive the reimbursement of travel and accommodation expenses, as well as a daily allowance according to the “Landesreisekostengesetz Baden-Württemberg.” 

Interested candidates should first identify and contact the GESIS staff member(s) they would like to work with and prepare a short research proposal (max 2 pages) for the stay. Then apply via our online application form and upload your CV and research proposal. GESIS will evaluate all applications on a competitive basis, considering scientific merits and the quality and originality of the project proposal.
