The data set examines the Querdenken scene, which emerged in the wake of protests against COVID-19 protective measures in Germany. The aim of the survey was to shed light on the motivations and different facets of the protest movement.
The data was collected using a standardized quantitative online survey (CAWI) on the social media platform Telegram in August 2021 and aimed to map the Querdenken scene as a recruitment target group. The total sample comprises a net participation of 5,543 interviews, of which 4,748 were completed in full (completion rate: 85.68%).
