German Survey Data

A rich database of German surveys

Are you researching social change and looking for long time series? Would you like to analyze individual changes in values and political attitudes?

Access the data from our survey programs such as ALLBUS and GLES, or use the valuable wealth of data that the GESIS Panel or the family demographic panel FReDA have to offer.

You can also find data from important external survey programs that entrust their data to GESIS and share it with the research community via our archive. These include, for example, data from the Federal Press Office or pairfam, the longitudinal study to research partnership and family living arrangements in Germany.

ALLBUS - the German General Social Survey

In the ALLBUS study series, random samples of the German population have been surveyed on attitudes and behavior every two years since 1980 using a partly constant, partly variable survey program. The ALLBUS data can be used to analyze developments and changes in German society over four decades.
