Collection - How do you obtain data?
Collecting high-quality data to answer a research question requires time, human and financial resources. Often it is a few items and questions that advance your own research or the linking of survey data and digital behavioral data.
We offer the infrastructure and services, based on our many years of research and expertise, with which you can collect high-quality survey data and digital behavioral data yourself. The GESIS Panel samples can be used to collect and link both population-representative survey data (GESIS Panel.pop) and innovative digital behavioral data such as participants' browsing histories (GESIS Panel.dbd). Our services enable the collection of digital behavioral data, such as the smartphone-based collection of survey and sensor data (GESIS AppKit) or the collection of browser-based data (GESIS Web Tracking).
GESIS Panel
With the GESIS Panel, researchers can collect their own random-based data free of charge, both for the representative sample of the GESIS Panel.pop and for the sample for collecting linked survey and digital behavioral data (GESIS Panel.dbd).
GESIS AppKit
The GESIS AppKit enables the smartphone-based collection of survey and sensor data. We offer an interactive dashboard for study design and the administration of study participants and an app (Android and iOS) for data collection.
GESIS Web Tracking
GESIS Web Tracking enables the browser-based collection of digital behavioral data. We provide a browser plugin for collecting data on information behavior and the information content perceived.
