Open Science thrives on sharing research Open Access!
Through ZIS, the Open Access repository for measurement instruments, GESIS provides the research community with more than 280 validated and well-documented measurement instruments. All instruments in ZIS are citable through a digital object identifier (DOI) and free for non-commercial research purposes.
We are currently seeking to expand ZIS by publishing tests of cognitive abilities, skills, and knowledge that are suitable for survey research. Although such tests are relevant to a wide variety of research questions, researchers who want to include such measures in their surveys presently face a lack of options.
Hence, we ask you to contribute to closing this gap.
If you have developed a test or tool to assess cognitive abilities, skills, or knowledge, you can publish it in ZIS. Submit your test to ZIS and make it permanently available to the research community! Your test will undergo a rigorous review by our experts, who will help you get the most out of your work.
Submit it via our submission portal!
You will receive feedback in less than 4 weeks.

Are you interested in publishing your test in a peer-reviewed journal? Then a submission to GESIS’s Open Access Journal Measurement Instruments in the Social Sciences (MISS) might be interesting for you. All scales published in MISS will also appear in ZIS to further increase their accessibility and visibility.

We are looking forward to your submissions!
