The United Nations declared July 30th as “International Day of Friendship.” So each year, we can celebrate the power of friendship to honor the ones who are closest to us. In this article, the authors look at what friendship means in Germany and what is important to Germans concerning their friends. To answer these questions, they take a closer look at data from the International Social Survey Programme (ISSP).
