Juliane Reichelt is a research assistant / PhD student at GESIS - Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences, where they work in the department of Survey Data Curation. They studied Social Sciences at the University of Cologne (B.Sc.) and at the Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf (M.A.). Their studies focused on gender differences in political efficacy and political participation.
Since 2023, Juliane Reichelt has been working on the Horizon Europe-funded research project Push*Back*Lash, which examines the backlash against feminism and gender equality and its impact on democracy.
In the context of Push*Back*Lash, they will work on comparing citizens' views on gender equality across time and space, as well as analysing the stability and change of gender attitudes within individuals over the life course.
In their dissertation, they will look at anti-feminist attitudes and how these attitudes are related to democratic behaviour and attitudes towards democracy.
