Vita

Dr. Matthias Blümke studierte Psychologie an den Universitäten Trier und Heidelberg und promovierte in Psychologie zum Thema „Chancen und Risiken der psychologischen Diagnostik mit Impliziten Assoziationstests (IAT)“ (2006). Im Anschluss arbeitete er als als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter/Akademischer Rat am Lehrstuhl Sozialpsychologie der Uni Heidelberg, unterbrochen von einem zweijährigen Forschungsaufenthalt an der University of Otago, Dunedin, in Neuseeland (Social Cognition Lab). Berufsbegleitend studierte er an der Universität Heidelberg Medizinische Biometrie/Biostatistik (2014-2017), wo er den Master of Science erwarb. Seit 2016 arbeitet er bei GESIS – Leibniz-Institut für Sozialwissenschaften, in der Abteilung Survey Design & Methodology (SDM). Zwischen 2016 und 2018 war er für die Herausgabe und Weiterentwicklung von ZIS, der Zusammenstellung sozialwissenschaftlicher Items und Skalen, verantwortlich. Aktuell ist er im Team Scale Development and Documentation (SDD) angesiedelt und schwerpunktmäßig mit Datenanalyse aus dem Bereich der Instrumentenentwicklung und Weiterentwicklung statistischer Methoden befasst. Zwischen Oktober 2020 und September 2021 war Dr. Blümke beurlaubt für eine Gastprofessur in Psychologischer Diagnostik, Differentieller Psychologie und Methoden an der TU Darmstadt. Seit April 2023 leitet er das Team Scale Development and Documentation (SDD) kommissarisch.
