Vita

Dr. Katja Hanke ist seit April 2016 als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und Projektberaterin am GESIS-Leibniz-Institut für Sozialwissenschaften tätig. Dort forscht sie zu interkulturellen Beziehungen (z.B. Beziehungen zwischen Mitgliedern der Mehrheitsgesellschaft – Deutsche - und Migrant*innen) sowie zu Methoden der interkulturellen und kulturvergleichenden Forschung. Nach ihrem Psychologie-Studium an der Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen, promovierte sie zum Thema Vergebung zwischen Gruppen im Kulturvergleich an der Victoria University of Wellington am renommierten Centre for Applied Cross-Cultural Research in Neuseeland. Bevor sie nach Europa zurückkehrte, forschte sie als Postdoktorandin an der National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan zwischen 2010 und 2011 zu Vorurteilen gegenüber Älteren im Kulturvergleich. Sie kehrte als Postdoktorand-Stipendiatin an die Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) an der Jacobs University Bremen mit anschließendem Marie Curie Fellowship mit einem Marie Curie Career Integration Grant nach Deutschland zurück und forschte dort zwischen 2011 und 2016 zum Thema Intergruppen- und interkulturellen Beziehungen.

Beratung and Training zu kulturvergleichenden/interkulturellen Umfragen, im besonderen Fragen der Invarianz/Äquivalenz-Testung und die angemessene Auswahl statistischer Tests den kulturvergleichenden Kontext betreffend.

Forschung

Kulturvergleichende und interkulturelle Forschungsmethoden (insb. zu Invarianztestung/Äquivalenz), intergruppen und interkulturelle Beziehungen, Akkulturationsforschung (Fokus: Zugehörigkeitsgefühle und Mutlikulturalismus) und LGBT Forschung (zu den Themen Lebenszufriedenheit und Well-Being).
