Vita

Hao-Ting (Bryan) Chan is currently a doctoral student in Computational Social Science (CSS) at GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences. He holds a Master's degree in Political Science from the University of Mannheim and a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with a concentration in Economics from Yamanashi Gakuin University in Japan.

At GESIS, Bryan is involved in the AIRESIL (AI-powered Survey Infrastructures to Enhance Resilience Research) project , where he contributes to the development of innovative survey methods that integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and web tracking data to address challenges in resilience research. As a doctoral student, his work focuses on leveraging large-scale language models (LLMs) to improve survey responses and mitigate bias in longitudinal data collection.


Forschung

Hao-Ting's research lies at the intersection of computational social science, natural language processing (NLP), and the application of large-scale language models (LLMs) to survey and behavioral data.
