Klara Dentler arbeitet als Datenverarbeitungsspezialistin beim Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES) Projekt in der Abteilung Dauerbeobachtung der Gesellschaft bei GESIS in Mannheim. Klara hat einen Bachelor-Abschluss in Politikwissenschaft und Betriebswirtschaftslehre sowie einen Master-Abschluss in Politikwissenschaft, beide von der Universität Mannheim. Seit September 2019 ist sie im CSES Projekt. Klara promoviert außerdem in Politikwissenschaft an der Graduate School of Social Sciences der Universität Mannheim, Deutschland. Bevor sie zum CSES-Sekretariat kam, arbeitete Klara als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin für das CSES-Projekt und für ZIS bei GESIS.Service
Im CSES ist Klara verantwortlich für die Verarbeitung von CSES-Mikrodaten, die Datendokumentation, die Erfassung von Bezirksdaten, die Datenharmonisierung, die Datenqualitätsprüfung, den Inhalt der Website und die Beantwortung von Nutzeranfragen.Forschung
Ihr Forschungsinteresse gilt der vergleichenden Politikwissenschaft mit dem Schwerpunkt Wahlverhalten, insbesondere politische Führungspersönlichkeiten, wirtschaftliches Wahlverhalten und politische Einstellungen.In ihrer Doktorarbeit untersucht Klara die Entstehung von ambivalenten (in Konflikt geratenen) Einstellungen und deren Auswirkungen auf Wechselwähler und deren Entscheidungsfindungsprozessen. Sie unterscheidet hierbei zwischen Parteien und deren Vorsitzenden.
