Die vielen Gesichter von GESIS

Vita

Hallo, mein Name ist Jessica Daikeler. Ich arbeite bei GESIS in der Abteilung Survey Design und Methodology (SDM) als PostDoc. Ich koordiniere unser BMBF/ EU gefördertes Drittmittelprojekt Kompetenzzentrum Datenqualität in den Sozialwissenschaften  (KODAQS).  Das ist ein Verbundprojekt mit der Universität Mannheim und der LMU. Außerdem bin ich PI in meinem DFG- geförderten PubBias Projekt. 

Zuvor war ich im Sondertatbestand zu digitalen Verhaltensdaten und habe die Arbeitsgruppe zur Qualität digitaler Verhaltensdaten (und Umfragedaten) koordiniert.  Mit digitalen Verhaltensdaten sind Datentypen wie Tweets, GPS Daten oder Textdaten allgemein gemeint. . 

Ich habe an der Universität Mannheim studiert und promoviert. Während meiner Promotion war ich im Rahmen eines Forschungsaufenthalts an der University of Michigan in An Arbor. In meiner Masterarbeit bei Prof. Frauke Kreuter habe ich mit „Motivated Underreporting and Response Propensities“ beschäftigt. Meine Dissertation habe ich zum Thema „The Application of Evidence-Based Methods in Survey Methodology” bei Prof. Michael Bosnjak (RKI) und Prof. Florian Keusch (Universität Mannheim) verfasst.

Hier bei GESIS habe ich bereits gearbeitet bzw. arbeite in den Teams Survey Operations und Statistik. Bisher habe ich zur Anwendung evidenzbasierter Methoden in den Sozialwissenschaften, wie Experimente, systematische Reviews und Meta-Analyen gearbeitet, die GESIS Survey Guidelines betreut und die GESIS Survey Methods Evidence Map entwickelt.

Forschung

Meine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind in der empirischen Sozialforschung, in der Umfrageforschung, Anwendung evidenzbasierter Forschungsmethoden und Forschung zur Qualitätsindikatorik digitaler Verhaltensdaten und Umfragedaten. Außerdem habe ich Expertise in der Durchführung von Meta-Analysen und systematischen Übersichtsarbeiten.  Wenn ihr noch weitere Fragen habt, schreibt mir gerne eine E-Mail.
