Inhalt: Objective: check the adaptation methods of mastectomies women; raise the presence of changes in the habits of life of women after mastectomy; correlate the adaptive process outlined by the woman with the theory presented by Roy and investigate the care provided by nurses to women with mastectomies. Method: For carrying out the survey was used to type descriptive qualitative approach. Results: The role of nursing in the care the woman, who had been subjected to breast surgery, encompasses care for maintenance of their bodily functions as well as support to those who are involved in the process, the individual as a whole and family. Conclusion: Roy's theory is the bases for hypotheses that can be tested.

Inhalt: Objective: Recognizing the concerns of primiparous women about labor and birth, the nurse identify
actions to mitigating the feelings of women. Method: this was a descriptive, exploratory research,
qualitative in nature, with six primiparous women rooming at the University Hospital Antonio Pedro
through semistructured interviews and analyzed with the principles of thematic analysis, after approval by
the Ethics Committee of the University Hospital Antonio Pedro, under nº 218 283. Results: in the data
analysis, the results showed their feelings and expectations regarding their relationship with labor and
birth, such as fear, insecurity and anxiety. However, the presence of a companion proved to be important
for inhibition of these feelings. Conclusion: the health professional should facilitate and promote care to
the mother, with a resulting assistance of a trust and bond.

Inhalt: Objective: To discuss the social representations of women with chronic wounds about being a woman and having a body injured and the implications of these representations on social relations. Methods: Qualitative research with women with chronic wounds, attended at health units in Bahia who answered the interview in depth and draft-story theme. The data were submitted to thematic content analysis. Results: Representations about being a woman and having a wounded body are centered on ideas and experiences that reveal stigma, pain, sadness, loneliness, irritation, dependence, and the need to approach God. Conclusion: The representations of the participants interfere in the way of dressing, of relating to oneself and to the people in their surroundings implying in isolation and solitude. Representations reproduce stigmas about body image that do not meet socially and culturally determined beauty and health criteria.

Inhalt: Objective: To know the meaning assigned to sexuality for stomized women. Method: this is a qualitative study from the perspective of an oral history of life. a total of 10 women enrolled in the lineu araújo integrated health center in teresina-pi, in june 2012. Results: four categories emerged: the meaning of sexuality, the meaning of the experience of sexuality, the meaning of spousal support in the process of acceptance of the stoma and the meaning of being a woman and living with the stoma. sexuality has a plurality of meanings, which in turn are connected to various factors. Conclusion: through knowledge, we could complete and implement care actions that influenced the quality of life and assistance given to the stomized women.

Inhalt: Objective: To identify the types of precursor lesions of cervical cancer more prevalent in women living in a rural area of São José de Mipibu, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Method: This study is of an exploratory-descriptive nature, designed in the form of documentary research. The sample comprised women who underwent oncotic cytology in the Health Unit of the studied community, 2005 to 2009, totaling 782 women. Results: considerations were made about the microbiology, diagnosis and descriptive of cellular atypia distributed by age found in the results of oncotic cytology, with subsequent reflections on the role of nurses in the prevention of cervical cancer. Conclusion: We conclude that the prevention of cervical cancer still remains a challenge for women's health.

Inhalt: Objective: This study aimed to evaluate and analyze the perceptions of postpartum women about nursing care to promote breastfeeding the preterm infant in kangaroo care. Method: This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, performed with 19 postpartum women. The study setting was the Dona Evangelina Rose Maternity (MDER) located in the southern zone of the Teresina city, PI, specifically in the wards of accommodation special set which are mothers and newborns (NB) preterm and low birth weight, wards of Kangaroo. The data collection instrument was a semi-structured interview. Results: Grouped into three categories. Conclusion: The study shows that the perception of most women, the care received by nursing staff are commensurate with your role is to take care, guidance and understanding.

Inhalt: Objective: To describe the perception of the nurse from the family health teams, of the sanitary districts II and III
from Uberaba city, about the gynecological nursing consultation. Method: a descriptive research with qualitative
approach. For the data analysis it was used the thematic analysis. Results: 26 nurses were participants, being two of
them males and the others females. After data analysis it was found the following category: nursing consultation with
women's integral approach, focused on the gynecological aspects, the disease, and resolution of the service and lack of
return scheduling. Conclusion: the found results reinforce the consultation with focus on the disease. We also
identified that the organization of the health services, focused on the nurse’s productivity, negatively impacts the
assistance to women, without integral approach, what can be minimized through the qualification of the nurses.

Inhalt: Objective: We aimed to understand how culture influences in the process of women delivery. Eight women were interviewed. Method: A qualitative study done at a teaching hospital and basic health unit, in the year 2011. The interviews were analyzed and interpreted according to the Analysis of Thematic Content. Results: Showed that the positive meaning conveyed by the women who cohabit with the interviewed, provided an enriching delivery and influenced in the preference for the natural labor. The participants who received negative comments felt fear, anxiety and insecurity during the birth experience. Conclusion: We understand that culture influences in labor of women.

Inhalt: Objective: To identify the socioeconomic and behavioral profile of pregnant women cared for in prenatal nursing consultations at a basic health unit in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Method: Quantitative, documental and retrospective research. Eighty-eight nursing records were collected from medical data of pregnant women cared for from January 2009 to November 2010. Descriptive statistics was used for data analysis. Results: The predominance was: young pregnant women, married, housewives, with low level of education; family incomes of up to two minimum wages; basic sanitation available; no consumption of alcohol, cigarettes and drugs; diversified diet; restricted physical activity; regular dental care; need for reinforcement of tetanus immunity; first prenatal consult with less than 20 weeks; and planned pregnancy. Conclusion: The identification of pregnant women's characteristics allows identifying their main needs. This could be used for promotion of health by improving prenatal care.
