Enabling replication in the social sciences

Replikationsserver.de was iniated by the the journals Zeitschrift für Soziologie and Soziale Welt in collaboration with GESIS, aiming to promote data sharing for the purpose of replication. The journal Historical Social Research joined the initiative in 2019.

Authors of the participating journals commit themselves to sharing research data and/or analysis scripts related to their publications.

GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences has developed the service SowiDataNet|datorium, enabling researchers in the social sciences to upload, document, and share securely their research data and code. Uploaded datasets and code can be easily referenced from the respective journal publication and vice versa by assigning DOIs (Digital Object Identifiers), free of charge through our da-ra service.
