Working with European Union Labour Force Survey (EU-LFS) and European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC)

April 11-12, 2024

Organized by German Microdata Lab, GESIS

Logo fdz - German Microdata Lab

GESIS – Leibniz-Institute for the Social Sciences is an infrastructure institution in Germany which offers services to the empirical social research. We are also engaged in own social research, focusing on the description and analysis of social change. Moreover, GESIS offers a wide range of events for, by and with the scientific community. In our training courses we impart knowledge and practice-oriented skills in the area of social research methods.

The course is aimed at post-graduate and senior researchers, who are seeking to conduct research on the basis of the EU‐LFS and EU-SILC. A short introduction into EU-LFS and EU-SILC will be given. Moreover, the course will demonstrate the possibilities of the EU‐LFS and EU-SILC in a hands‐on computer session which will explore the potential for both international as well as trend analysis (EU-LFS) and longitudinal analysis (EU-SILC). Basic understanding in Stata is required.

Participation is limited to Eurofound staff. An individual invitation will be sent after registration.
