What is Research Data Management?

The handling of research data and the requirements of funding bodies present researchers with a variety of challenges. Research data management (RDM) is an integral part of good scientific practice and facilitates the structured processing of your research data. In addition, RDM increases the replicability of research data and results from your institution and increases transparency in the research process. In line with the principles of open data and FAIR data, FDM allows you to meet the requirements of funding bodies efficiently and securely.

We support you with our knowledge of research data in the quantitative social sciences. In addition to basic information on research data management, we also offer you our expertise in the form of consulting (offer currently under development) and individual training courses. Please do not hesitate to contact us!

Further information can be found on the pages of the information portal for research data management (FDM). Here you will find in-depth information on research data management in Germany as well as, for example, contact persons in your federal state. CESSDA's Data Management Expert Guide also provides an overview of important research data management topics.
