Mission
Team Training of the Department Knowledge Exchange and Outreach (KEO) has been developing and organizing external and internal training for both early career and advanced scientists from Germany, Europe, and other parts of the world since 1972. We offer courses in German and English. The focus of our courses is on Data Analysis, Survey Methodology, Computational Social Science, and Research Data Management. Top international researchers as lecturers, our many years of experience, constant evaluation, and, in the case of large training events, a social program guarantee the high quality of our events.
GESIS Training is committed to the principles of Open Science. This implies the following for our courses:
- We support our participants to work according to the principles of Open Science in their research activities. We offer courses that introduce these principles and teach practical ways to implement them.
- We use free and open-source software in our courses whenever possible.
- We encourage our lecturers to use freely accessible datasets.
