Inhalt: "In a general view, the author's contribution reflects the relationship of technologies to women's integration into the labour markets. Drawing on quantitative data, he also offers a more complex picture of the relationship between occupational and technological change. Without doubt, historically, good jobs are to some extent defined by technology, and men's economic advantage has in part been underpinned by this technological advantage. Through the analysis of two European datasets, he shows that both men and women gain a wage premium from the use of computers and that this seems to be even more pronounced for women than for men."
