(Autorenreferat)
Inhalt: "The present paper describes the development of an integrative theoretical model for the analysis of more or less successful occupational career development in the context of general life span development with special emphasis on a gender-comparative perspective (abbreviated BELA-M). The model consists of two submodels, one of career and private life planning, and the other of the dual impact of gender on career-related processes. The theoretical background of the model is outlined, the predictor variables are specified, and the crucial dependent variables, namely both objective and subjective career success, life satisfaction, and well-being, are defined. Exemplary hypotheses are derived and tested with our longitudinal data, and further research perspectives are outlined." (author's abstract)
