Inhalt: "The article analyses the big amount of female employment in Spain during the last decades from a gender perspective. The figures show that gender inequalities are common trends in the current Spanish labor market. One can observe high female unemployment rates and part-time, temporary status and low salaries touching young and not qualified women and a quite strong polarization among employed women as new characteristics. Migrant women as well as scientific and academic women are the best examples of this polarization. However, some recent Spanish laws seem to underline a more optimistic future." (author's abstract)
