At the end of 2017, the Rector's Office of the University of Cologne approved the installation of all-gender toilet facilities in all central buildings. Individual areas/institutions of the university are invited to label existing gender-neutral facilities accordingly or to designate individual toilet facilities as 'all-gender' - as long as sufficient male and female toilet facilities are still available.
Gender-neutral toilets are shown on the campus map.
