CEWS Target Groups
Since its inception in 2000, CEWS has expanded the scope of its services, thereby reaching a more diverse range of target groups. These target groups benefit in various ways from the synergistic effects of CEWS' main spheres of activity on gender politics and gender equality measures, gender inequalities in academia, advocacy and networking, services as well as statistics and monitoring.
For practitioners engaged in the field of gender equality, equal opportunities and diversity we disseminate up-to-date, research-based and user-friendly information and databases about statistics on gender inequalities, effective gender equality measures, science-related equality law and among other topics literature on gender monitoring.
For social scientists on the pivot of higher education studies, gender and feminist research as well as science studies we provide information and data about gender inequalities in German academia and research as well as online tools for improving the visibility of women researchers in all disciplines (\femconsult). Through international and German-based third-party funded projects, we facilitate a close connection between research and gender equality practice.
We support German universities and research organizations with information about gender sensitive leadership tools and gender equality measures, the CEWS ranking of higher education institutions by gender equality aspects or the TOTAL E-QUALITY advisory service.
Political committees and councils about gender equality in academia and research benefit from our evidence-based consultations, reports as well as impulses for public debates.
A key aspect of our mission is to disseminate our findings to the general public. Consequently, media professionals can access via our webpages curated, proven, and clear information.
