There are numerous childcare facilities on the campus of the University of Bremen. These offer a wide range of services tailored to the different needs of students. Initiators of the facilities are municipal sponsors, parents' associations, the University of Bremen as well as the Studierendenwerk Bremen and the General Students' Committee of the University of Bremen (AStA).

UniKita e.V.

The UniKita offers six all-day groups for children from 1-6 years of age. Preference is given to children of students and employees of the University of Bremen.

Kinderland

Kinderland is a childcare facility on the university campus. The children are cared for by student assistants who are financed by the AStA, the university and the Studierendenwerk. Kinderland offers toys and playground equipment for children of all ages, an outdoor area and a small kitchen.

Wuselhöhle

The child is cared for in a protected space where elementary needs can be met. These include security, attention, movement, appreciation and rest. The concept of the Wuselhöhle is to enable the child to have a variety of experiences while being self-determined.

In addition, the University of Bremen offers emergency care through the emergency moms and provides up to a maximum of 14 hours per year so that students can attend important events (e.g. exams) without further complications.
