Categories: CEWS Aktuell

The decisions in the 1st selection round of the Programme for Women Professors 2030 in Germany have been made: On February 22, 2024, an independent review panel decided on the 108 submitted gender equality concepts. 92 universities were successful with their gender equality policy goals, structures and measures. The universities now have the opportunity to submit applications for up to three start-up grants for the initial appointment of women to permanent W2 or W3 professorships by September 30, 2025.

We have linked the full press release (in German) by the Joint Science Conference for you here. Information on the other rounds of calls can be found on the website of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (link in German).

As part of the StaRQ project, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Resaerch, CEWS has been working on the quality assurance of gender equality measures. If you are looking for suggestions for the development of gender equality measures, you can search the INKA toolbox here. We would be delighted if you would share your measures as good practice with other universities and suggest them for the INKA via our proposal form.

CEWS carried out the evaluation of the second phase and the overall evaluation of the Programme for Women Professors on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research from 2015 to 2017. The evaluation report (in German) on this externally funded project is available online.
