First DataDay at GESIS in Cologne

Categories: GESIS-News

Researchers meet journalists at the first DataDay at GESIS in Cologne. We offer a varied program for the data journalists: On the one hand, they will get an overview of the data treasures of the Research Data Centers (RDC). On the other hand, they will be able to carry out own analyses after the participating in the workshops. Data analysis will be useful for their journalistic work.

As the largest European infrastructure for the social sciences, we host various quantitative data within our Research Data Centers (RDC) including a wide range of valid data sets on social and political attitudes and behavior, elections and education.

With the DataDay, GESIS aims to promote the exchange between the social sciences and the general public and wants to communicate its data infrastructure even more effectively to the general public in the future. Together with data journalists, possibilities for cooperation between empirical social science and journalism will be explored.
