Disadvantages of pupils with low educational backgrounds persist in the course of education. Young people with a migrant background, on the other hand, catch up with native pupils in the course of secondary education, especially if they have the same educational background and resources. This is confirmed by a study from the new edition of the Social Indicators Information Service, ISI 63, published by GESIS.
