Successful Conference on Harmful Online Communication at GESIS

In mid-November, numerous experts from the field of computer-based detection and analysis of harmful online communication came together at GESIS to network over two days and discuss the latest research findings. An international field of participants addressed the following questions, among others:

What are the practical challenges in dealing with harmful online communication?  Which theoretical concepts and tools can be used for detection and analysis?  What data quality measures should be used? What legal and ethical challenges does the field face (e.g. data protection/consent)?
