RDC German Microdata Lab

The German Microdata Lab (GML) collects microdata of official statistics. It offers research based services concerning the data and develops instruments for the implementation of social scientific concepts.

The German Microdata Lab (GML) is a service provider for researchers working with microdata from official statistics and takes a mediating role between official statistics and the empirical social sciences. Our tasks:

  • To provide a service and research infrastructure for microdata from German and European official statistics
  • To improve access to official statistics microdata
  • To examine research projects on questions of social structure, inequality and demography

Further information can be found on our GML RDC website. We make our metadata offer available to you via our microdata information system MISSY.
