The many faces of GESIS

Vita

Dennis joined the Team Survey Data Augmentation at GESIS in October 2021. Before that, he worked as a Researcher at the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (2020-2021) and the Chair of International Comparative Political Economy and Economic Sociology, University of Cologne (2015-2020). Dennis studied Political Science and Public Law at the University of Trier (B.A., 2008-2012), Political Science and Energy Economics at the University of Cologne (M.A., 2012-2014), Environmental Policy at the University of Cambridge, UK (M.Phil., 2014-2015), and Political Economy at the University of Cologne (Dr., 2015-2022). He wrote his dissertation on EU climate and energy governance at the Faculty of Management, Economics and Social Sciences, University of Cologne.

Research

Dennis' research addresses energy, environmental and climate policy. He specializes in quantitative approaches and geospatial data analysis. His current project, "GESIS meets Copernicus (GxC)" (2023-2025) aims to create an interface to Earth observation data for the social sciences.
